With little over a month away before Super Smash Bros. For Wii U hits stores in North America, director Masahiro Sakurai continues his daily “Pic of the Day” rituals to hype fans leading up to the launch of the title.
Today, Sakurai has shared two screenshots showcasing the Wii U version of the Bass Trophy and Zero Trophy from the Mega Man series.
The director revealed – despite not being playable – that the models for the Bass Trophy and presumably the Zero trophy, have been designed from the ground up.
“Here’s Bass, a trophy for the Wii U version!! When I first saw this, I was really surprised by the quality of this trophy and Treble’s presence. Even though this will only appear as a trophy, this was made from the ground up. Designers really are amazing.” Sakurai wrote on Miiverse.
He further revealed that Roll and Proto will both appear in Super Smash Bros. For Wii U as trophies. “Zero’s here too!! There are also trophies of Roll and Proto Man.”
Super Smash Bros For Wii U will launch on November 21 in North America. In Europe, Japan and Australia the game will be hitting stores on December 5/6 respectively.
Alongside Super Smash Bros. For Wii U, Nintendo will be launching a range of NFC figurines called Amiibo, which will interact with the title in a number of ways.
