The Nintendo 64 classic – The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time – will be heading to the Pal Wii u virtual console, Nintendo of Europe has announced.
Zelda: Ocarina of Time will be available for purchase next Thursday for Europe. Unfortunately, there is no news whether this will be the case for North America. At the moment, Nintendo of Europe has yet to reveal the pricing for the title, but it should be aligned with the other N64 titles on the Wii U virtual console.
This is in fact the second time, the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time has been released on the Virtual console. The title made its debut on the digital platform back in 2007 on the Wii. However, since virtual console on the Wii and Wii U are not interchangeably, Nintendo here is likely wanting to rebuild the library again.
Owners of Ocarina of time on Wii can move the game and all other Virtual console title by performing a system transfer to the Wii U. You will not be able to play the game from the Wii U menu as it is only access by switching to Wii mode, but this beats re-purchasing the game again.
