Yoshi’s Woolly World features some neatly crafted boss battle fights (pun intended). Like any game from Nintendo, the boss battles gradually move from paperweight easy to a little more difficult towards the end. If you happen to find a particularly boss fight difficult and need some guidance in slaying the fabric foe, then I may be of some help.
Here is NNF’s Yoshi’s Woolly World Boss Battle Guide to help you on your way to glory. So without further ado, here is the full Guide.
I hope this helps.
World 1 – 5: Big Montgomery’s Fort Boss Battle
The first boss is Montgomery, a dirt climbing mole. Montgomery isn’t particular hard, so he shouldnt’t pose too much of a problem for you. As soon as the battle starts, Montgomery will dig into the fabric and climb into the wall. You will need to avoid being hit when he jumps out of the wall. Out of the fabric, Montgomery will charge at you, jump on his head, then slam his bottom. You will need to repeat the process three time to
World 1 -8: Burt the Bashful Castle Boss Battle
The last boss battle for world 1 is Burt. Burt is quite easy to beat. Essentially what you need is to throw one of your yarn ball at Burt. When he is dazed you will need to pull the string holding his pants on his waste. On the second phaze, he will summon more doppelgangers and create a totem. Again shoot at the correct Burt (the largest) and pull the string of his pant. You will need to do this a total of 3 times before Burt is defeated.
World 2 -4: Knot-wing the Koopa’s Fort
The first boss for World 2 is the Knot-wing. As soon as the battle starts, the knot-wing will try to fly-press you from the air. You will need to avoid it for the time being. Your only opportunity for retaliation is when the knot-wing withdraws into its body and hurls its spinning shelled body at you. Dodge its attack and wait for it to be dazed, pull the string on its back for it to expose its belly for a nice slam. Repeat the process until the Knot-wing falls.
World 2-8: Bunson the Hot Dog’s Castle
The last boss of world 2 is Bunson. Bunson may look intimidating, but he really is a push-over. Essentially what you need to do is to shoot a yarn ball at Bunsons mouth while he is charging his attack. The attack will explode in its mouth and cause him to fall with his tongue sticking out. Slam the tongue. Repeat the process again to defeat Bunson. Bunson will occasionally jump to the background and use a flamethrower attack. Just jump over it to dodge. If you run out of yarn balls just wait for Bunson to throw yarn in the field.
World Boss 3-4: Big Montgomery’s Bubble Fort
This boss is very similar to the first boss you faced in the game. Montgomery will jump into the fabric and try to jump from the wall, but this time the impact will cause a shockwave which you will need to avoid. When Montgomery tries to throw the spike ball, shoot him with a yarn ball and when dazed slam his bottom.
World 3-8: Miss Chuck The Insincere’s Castle
Miss Chuck is a little trickier than the bosses of the past. For attacks, Miss Chuck will drop an egg which contains a rolling spiked ball. The most devastating is when Miss Chucks lines up at the side of the stage to torpedo towards you. To retaliate, you will need to pull the string underneath Miss Chuck as she flies above you. Doing it a number of times will cause Miss Chuck to fall to the stage, allowing you to stamp on her head. Repeat it three times to defeat her.
World 4-4: Knot-wing the Koopa Aqua Fort
The second Knot-wing battle of the game, but this time things are a little tricky. The battle will take place on top of a water wharf. The Knot-wing will slam into the wooden planks restricting your movement. In addition to this, the knot-wing will fly to the background and cause tsunami’s, which you must avoid. The strategy to beating the knot-wing is simple. You will need him to bait the knot-wing to slam into the spikes when it body-bombs the water. When it hurt itself from the spikes and floating with its belly exposed, slam into its body. Repeat the process until it is defeated.
World 4-8: Naval Piranha Sewer
The Naval Piranha Plant is really easy and should not pose too much of a problem. What you will need to do is to swallow and hold one bomb (the shy guys will throw it into the stage). When the largest Piranha plant position itself from the side of the screen with its mouth with open, shoot the bomb into its gob, causing it to be stunned. At the stem you will notice, a patch which you can slam. At the later stage of the battle, the Piranha Plant will change the angle from where it will try to swallow you. It can be from above or below, but the general strategy should be the same. The Piranha plant will occasionally roll a thorn stem over the stage, which you have to avoid. Not to mention the the smaller piranha plants will try to slam into you like domino cards.
