The critically acclaimed iOS game – Year Walk – will be coming to the Wii U, the developer has announced. Brought to us by Swedish developer – Årsgång (AKA Simogo Games)- Year Walk will be hitting the Wii U eShop this fall.
Year Walk is a pschological horror game revolving around the protagonist Daniel Svensson. Svensson takes a walk encountering supernatural beings and solving puzzles.
The Wii U version will have dedicated motion controls and will actively use the second screen to interact to solve the puzzles.
“The game has been totally rebuilt for the platform, with the Wii U GamePad tightly integrated into the game. It’s hard to imagine that it was not made for Wii U originally – that’s how home it feels. Without spoiling anything, we’ll share what’s new and why you should be excited,” the developer wrote in their latest blog post.
The game features a nifty artstyle and is heavily inspired by Swedish folklore which should entice the most fervent gamer. I know the game has piqued my interest.
