Research firm GFK has released the latest weekly video game charts for the UK market. These ranking represent the sales figure for the week ending June 20.
Dominating the UK charts for this week is the Lego movie adaptation, Lego Jurassic World. Lego Jurassic for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PS3 grabbed 2nd, fourth, fifth and sixth respectively on the individual charts.
“It is the first Lego No1 since ‘The Lego Movie Videogame’ in W7 2014. It also becomes the 7th Traveller’s Tales Lego title to reach No1 since ‘Lego Star Wars’ kicked it all off in March 2005.”
Elders Scrolls for Xbox One managed to grab top spot again in the individual formats.
In more relevant news to Nintendo fans, the Wii U exclusive Splatoon holds strong remaining at number 9 for the second consecutive week. The Wii U’s woes in the UK has been well documented, so Splatoon has been performing exceptionally well for a Wii U title.
Mario Kart 8, which launched in the UK over a year ago, has re-charted. This week, the game moved up to 34th spot, which may be a sign that a few Wii U consoles were moved during this period.
The 3DS has seen better days, with only Lego Jurassic World being the only 3DS title charting in the individual format.
