Nintendo has been slowly but surely been building up the Wii U eShop with a number of good digital games. Though not as strong as the STEAM marketplace, Nintendo has been catching up with their digital marketplace. During the slow months when there are very few releases, you may want to try out a few eShop titles on the Wii U. If you do decide to give a number of titles a try, then perhaps you will need a recommendation list from a highly trustworthy source. Good news, Nintendo News Fix to the risk with another top 10 countdown article. This time around, I would like to share my opinion on what are the Top 10 Wii U eShop Games.
Nihilumbra has fallen under the radar. Developed by Beutifun games, Nihilumbra is an interest 2D platformer. I enjoyed the eerie yet strangely beautiful world. What Nihilumbra has going for it is the GamePad utilization. Using the different colors needed to paint the world is made easier by using the touchscreen on the Wii U GamePad. It may not be groundbreaking in concept nor will it blow your main, Nihilumbra is, however, a very solid game.
9. Trine 2
One of the first titles I tried when the Wii U launched. Trine 2 still remains one of the prettiest games on the hardware and will likely remain to be for much longer. Trine 2 can be described as a physic base puzzler with some light platforming. The game features a number of clever and crafty puzzles, but this is often dampened by some frustrating puzzles that rely on trial and error instead of logic. Regardless, Trine 2 is a solid game.
8. Stealth Inc 2: A Game Of Weapons
If you go down the list, you may notice I have a soft spot for Metroidvania type games. Knowing this, it was only natural that Stealth Inc 2 would make my list. Stealth Inc has an impressive explorable 2D world, with progression defined by finding more gear to unlock new areas. There are a good amount of well designed puzzles that will have you entrenched into the experience. The only drawback is that the game is good but never pushes to be exceptional.
7. Pushmo World
The third installment in the Pushmo series, Pushmo World is a no brainer for this list. A fun puzzler by which players are tasked to strategically push blocks in order to reach the top of the playground. Pushmo World features over 250 puzzles, if that was not enough you can share and try user generated content from Miiverse.
6. Bit.Trip Presents… Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien
Going by the games titles, you can tell Bit.Trip Presents… Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien is any exceptionally wacky game. Everything about the game is dope, it’s like the developer where on a high during the development phaze. The entire premise of the game is to guide the runner to the end of the stage, while avoiding obstacles and pitfalls. It’s a simple premise, but ridiculously fun.
