Best And Strongest Final Smash In Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS
The Final Smash’s in Super Smash Bros. For Wii U and 3DS are easily one of the most flashiest and elegant things you will see in your television screens this year. Introduced in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Final Smash add an additional layer of mayhem to already chaotic game. Once a Smash Ball rears its ugly head in the arena, the battle becomes a mad dash of who can obtain the awesome power that lies within. All mindfulness and strategy is forgotten, all for the chance to unleash a powerful attack, which, in most cases results in a satisfying K.O.
With a cast of 49 characters, Final Smash’s in Super Smash Bros. For Wii U and 3DS comes in all shapes and sizes. Some powerful and some not so powerful. Others are more visual spectaculars and a few have unique effects on the battlefield. To indulge ourselves in some entertaining readings, I thought it would be a good idea to countdown the top 10 best final smash’s in Super Smash Bros. For Wii U and 3DS.
Like with any top countdown list, a clear set of criteria must be outlined so you have a clear understanding of why each Final Smash has made it to the top. Each Final Smash is assessed on power, visual spectacular and originality.
So without further ado, here are the top 10 Final Smash’s in Super Smash Bros. (In no particular order)
10. Robin – Pair Attack
Fan requested – Chrom – was unfortunately unable to make the cut in Smash Bros as a playable character. Thankfully, Sakurai has kindly included him in Robin’s Final Smash. Paying homage to the Dual System in Fire Emblem: Awakening – Robin summons chrom in a deadly combination of slices and spells. The Final Smash itself is pleasing to the eye with the flashy lights and synchronization delighting the senses.
9. Samus – Zero Laser
Samus’s Final Smash is largely unchanged from Brawl, except that the transformation to Zero Suit Samus has been thrown away all together. Samus’s Zero Laser is still an impressive and devastating move to say the least. Of course, like with any move, positioning is key for success, as needlessly aiming will almost certainly result in a miss shot. I like firing from the edge of the stage to get maximum coverage. Best of all, Zero Laser is arguably one of the most visually appealing Final Smash’s. Wouldn’t you say?
8. Greninja – Night Slash
Greninja’s Final Smash – Nightslash – is flash as it is strong. Although it requires precision to trap the opponent in this deadly move – Night Slash is a stylish array of swift attacks shone under the beautiful light of the moon. An almost guarantee K.O at decent percentages – Night Slash is definitely one of the most strongest and visually appealing Final Smash’s in Super Smash Bros. For Wii U.
7. Shulk – Chain Attack
Drawing inspiration from the Chain Attack in Xenoblade Chronicles – Shulk Final Smash’s summons Dunban and Ricki to performing a devastating team attack that will leave the poor soul sore until the morning. Xenoblade fans will be delighted to see cameo from Dunban and Ricki, despite Reyn making a noticeable absence in Super Smash Bros. For Wii U.
6. Luigi – Poltergeist 5000
Luigi’s Final Smash is much improved over the Negative Zone in Brawl. Honestly, the Negative Zone honestly did not fit with Luigi’s character and felt out of place. Not to mention it lacked the same oomph of other Final Smash’s. Thankfully, Sakurai had given Luigi a brand new Smash in his Ghost Busting Vacuum. Luigi is able to suck in opponents from the left and right, then spitting them out with immense force.
5. Bowser – Giga Bowser
Originally featured as the big boss in Super Smash Bros. Melee – Giga Bowser later transformed himself as Bowser’s final Smash in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. A large and more intimidating form of Bowser – Giga Bowser is a fierce final smash capable of nabbing multiple K.O’s when used correctly. Giga Bowsers size and immense power make it hard for any opponent to escape his terror.
4. Pac-Man – Super Pac-man
Pac-Man’s has one of the most novel Final Smash’s in Super Smash Bros. Wii U/3DS. Transforming himself into his 2D sprite of the 80’s games that made him so famous – Pac-Man wreaks havoc on the battlefield by devouring opponents, leaving all his table matters at the door. The huge size and ability to control Pac-Man makes this Final Smash Difficult to escape from.
3. Mega Man – Mega Legends
Many fans can recollect the excitement during the Smash Invitation held during E3 2014 when, for the first time in public eyes, Mega Man’s Final Smash was used. Fighting to save the world – Mega Man easily has one of the most coolest Final Smash’s in the game. Trapping the opponent with the black hole bomb will result in Mega Man and his other forms – X, MegaMan.EXE, Mega Man Volnutt and Transcode 003 Mega Man – to fire off a powerful team beam.
2. Ganondorf – Beast Ganon
Ganondorf is definitely one of the most powerful Final Smash in the game. It’s difficult to avoid, has a paralysis effect and more importantly does massive damage. If all parties in the battle have decent damage done to themselves – Beast Ganon can easily nab you 3 kills, perhaps even more if you are playing up to 8 players. Furthermore, seeing Ganon transforming into a demonic beast is a sight to behold.
1. Villager – Dream Home
Villager’s Final Smash – Dream Home – gains point for originality… well in the visual apartment. Summoning Toom Nook,Timmy Nook and Tommy Nook to construct a dream home over the carcass of the poor opponent. Cute, tantalizing to the eyes and packs a wallop – Villager’s Dream Home is a largely satisfying move to pull off.
