After the sudden and unfortunate passing of Satoru Iwata back in July, the position of President has been left vacant until a new candidate is appointed. Shigeru Miyamoto and Genyo Takeda have been given the responsibility of running the company until such time.
Today, Nintendo has finally announced Satoru Iwata’s successor. Tatsumi Kimishima has been named as the the new President of Nintendo. Kimishima has a strong corporate background with tenures as the Director and Chairman of Nintendo America and Representative Director of the Pokemon just to name a few.
It goes without saying that Kimishima does indeed have the credential to move Nintendo to a direction of prosperity.
Tatsumi Kimishima will begin his tenure as President of Nintendo on September 16. There has also been a number of reshuffles in directorial roles within Nintendo. The positions can be viewed below.
