Capcom has proudly announced that their latest title, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate (known as Monster Hunter 4G in Japan), has quickly surpassed 2 million units shipments, including digital sales. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate launched last week in Japan, alongside the New Nintendo 3DS which launched on October 11.
These latest numbers puts the series total software sales to 31 million since its humble beginning in 2004. Capcom’s plan for Monster Hunter domination does not end here, as they have announced several events that will help grow the brand further into the future.
To start things off, Capcom will be hosting social gathering called “KariCon – Let’s go hunting with MH4G” which will start in October. The event will take place in several major cities and will be assisted by the company Linkbal In, whom specializes in large scale dating events. In addition to this, Capcom will be hosting “Monster Hunter Festa ’15,” which is scheduled in January 2015.
Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate is scheduled for a North American and European release in early 2015.
