Nintendo Expected To 25 Billion Yen Operating Profit For FY 2015: Nikkei

Nikkei earning preview predicts that Nintendo will be back in the black for the 2015 fiscal years, the first time in four years.

The firm suggest that Nintendo is likely to post a 25 billion yen operating profit for the fiscal year ending 2015, surpassing its initial forecast of 20 billion yen.

The better than expected results come off the back of strong sales for Nintendo handheld sales, in particular the launch of the New Nintendo 3DS in Japan, Europe and North America; plus the release of key software such as Super Smash Bros and Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire.

Nintendo’s net profit has also been bolstered by the weaker than expected yen.

Nintendo has showed signs of recovery with new ventures into Mobile games and the Quality of Life business pillar to increase revenue sources.
