Nintendo Celebrates With Splatoon Mess Fest

Wii U’s next major title is only a month away from release and Nintendo’s marketing efforts have already started. Using the power of celebrity endorsement, Nintendo will be causing a ruckus at Santa Monica Pier with the Splatoon Mess Fest.

Teams of Celebrities will participate in a ink-filled obstacle course with elements inspired from Splatoon itself. So far Joey Bragg from the show Liv and Maddie has been confirmed as a participating celebrity. The full roster of famous faces will be gradually announced.

Attendee’s will also have the opportunity to get an early hands-on Splatoon and nab themselves a T-shirt (while stocks last).

The Splatoon Mess Fest will take on the Santa Monica Pier between 11am and 7pm. It’s an extravagant event that will surely gain much needed publicity for Splatoon.

Splatoon is a new IP from Nintendo that challenges the conventions of 3rd person shooters. The title will launch worldwide exclusively for the Wii U at the end of May.
