Today on Miiverse, director of Smash Bros, Masahiro Sakurai, proudly revealed a brand new stage for Super Smash Bros. For Wii U called Gamer. Following the series tradition of novelty stages like the WarioWare from Brawl, Gamer will be a favorite at parties with its unique gimmick.
“Here’s a stage exclusive to the Wii U version: Gamer. Don’t let Mom find you while you’re duking it out!!” Sakurai wrote on Miiverse
The gimmick of this stage is to hide from the stage hazard, which, funnily enough is Mom. Like when we were kids, playing games in dark, breaking bed time to get an extra session of playtime, fighters in Gamer must hide from Mom, and the scolding that accompanies of getting caught. Do whatever it takes, hide underneath books, let the darkness be your friend, as long as Mom doesn’t catch you. If she does catch, then you are in for a world of pain.
“If Mom does spot you, she’ll scold you and blow you away!! …I’ve never seen a fighting action game as chaotic as this one.”
Super Smash Bros. For Wii U still does not have a release, but it is still scheduled for a holiday, 2014 release. For the latest updates on Super Smash Bros. For Wii U please stay tuned at Nintendo News Fix.
