Future F-Zero Title Possible Says Miyamoto

F-Zero is one beloved franchise that has been missing in action. Completely missing during the 7th generation, fans of the series has been clamoring to Nintendo for a brand new F-Zero game.

Speaking to Smosh Games, legendary game developer Shigeru Miyamoto has not ruled out the possibility of a new F-Zero game in the future.

Miyamoto explained that if they can find a new control interface that is suitable for an F-Zero game, then a new title is entirely possible.

We see a lot of other designers who are kind of making more traditional racing-style games, so we try to focus on something that feels a little bit more gamey. So maybe if we create a new type of controller interface and we find that controller interface is particularly suited for F-Zero, then maybe we’ll do something again with it in the future.

At the moment, it certainly sounds that F-Zero has been shelved. Perhaps, when the new generation hit, F-Zero will be resurrected.
