The next installment in the highly acclaimed series Fire Emblem will support Amiibo according to the latest reports.
Fire Emblem If will be supporting Amiibo figurines according to an icon on the box art. Forum users have pointed out that the Amiibo icon appears on the Fire Emblem If official box art, which almost confirms that the the title will be compatible with toy-to-life firgurines.
At the moment, details on compatibility and functionality are still unclear. It might be safe to that Fire Emblem If might have its own range of toys or it might be compatible with the Super Smash Bros. Marth, Lucina, Ike and Robin Amiibo.
Fire Emblem If launches in Japan later this year and will come out with two versions: Fire Emblem if: White Night Kingdom and Fire Emblem if: Dark Night Kingdom.
The two versions will feature two distinct story lines with the player selecting which kingdom to align with. As for a western release, Nintendo has reiterated that the game will launch for the Nintendo 3DS in 2016.
