How to unlock the Zero Suit Samus and Zelda Costume in Fatal Frame/Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water
Nintendo stirred up a storm when it was revealed that risque outfits from the Japanese version of Maiden of Black Water was purposeful cut from the western release. The skimpy costumes were replaced with a more elegent Zero Suit Samus and Zelda costume, which in my opinion is a better trade off.
Unlocking the Zero Suit Samus and Zelda costumes are a bit difficult and requires a lot of work. I myself found it difficulty discovering the unlock method to the Zero Suit Samus and Zelda costume. Thankfully, the good folks at GameXplain have kindly shared the information and has greatly helped me out in my pursuit for these unlockables.
To be courteous to the fantastic guys at Gamexplain, I thought it may be a good idea to share their video which succinctly outlines how to unlock both costumes.
How To Unlock The Zero Suit Samus Costume
To Unlock the Zero Suit Samus Costume you must have seen both endings for Yuri. To achieve this, you must complete the final boss under different circumtances. For the first ending, you must deal the final blow while on the surface. For the second, you must deal the final blow while under the water.
How to unlock the Zelda costume
To unlock the Zelda costume you must have to see 7 of the games 8 endings. That is the two endings for Yuuri, the two ending for Miu and just 3 endings for Ren.
Below is a quick summary of how to get the ending for Miu and Ren.
Miu’s Ending 1: Take at least one picture of Miku while following her at Twilight Peak
Miu’s Ending 2: Don’t take any pictures of Miku while following her at Twilight Peak.
The outcome of Ren’s story is dependent on what bride you select: Ouse or Shiragiku. There are two endings for each bride. To pick Ouse select the photo and to pick Shiragiku choose the bundle of hair.
If you select Ouse, the two outcomes can be achieved by doing one of the following:
- Take a photo of Ouse
- Touch Ouse
If you select Shiragiku, the two outcome can be doing one of the following:
- Allowing Shiragiku to grab Ren (all you need to do is stand still)
- Or defeat Shiragiku
Once you have seen and completed all 7 ending, then the Zelda costume will be available to use on Miu. I hope this helps. Full credit goes to GameXplain for the information.
