The high demand for Amiibo’s have unfortunately encouraged scalpers to take advantage of the limited stock to make a dirty buck from desperate consumers.
To combat this and create an environment of fairness, EB Games Australia have recently implemented a purchase limit for Super Smash Bros. series Amiibo.
Preorders for upcoming Super Smash Bros. Amiibo have been strictly limited to ONE per customer at EB Games Australia, preventing potential scalpers from buying the figurines in bulk.
The strategy seems to be working as the next wave of Smash Bros. Amiibo have yet to be out of stock, which is the exact opposite of past waves.
Currently Greninja, Captain Olimar, Dr Mario, Bowser Jr, Palutena, Zero Suit Samus, Ganondorf and Dark Pit are available for preorder. If you are interested in purchasing your favorite character, then it may be wise to secure a stock now.
As for when the figurines hits store shelves, the next wave is out on May and the subsequent wave on July.
