In today’s “Pic of the Day,” Masahiro Sakurai revealed that the Brawl stage, Castle Siege, will be returning in Super Smash Bros. For Wii U. Castle Siege was the signature Fire Emblem stage in the previous iteration of Smash Bros and fans will be glad to know that the stage will be returning in the new game.
“Well, I’d better post some pictures from the Wii U version once in a while, right? We’ve brought back the Castle Siege stage from Fire Emblem!” Sakurai wrote on Miiverse.
He went on to explain that the setting in Castle Siege and the new stage, Coliseum, aren’t specific to a certain game in the franchise.
“Most of the games in the Fire Emblem series have a different unique setting and have fields without much height, so it was hard to narrow down what venues to focus on. Castle Siege and Colosseum are two stages that aren’t exclusive to specific games in the franchise.”
Super Smash Bros. For Wii U still has a tentative release, but is likely to hit stores on November. For the latest updates on Smash Bros stay tuned at Nintendo News Fix.
